Reportedly the cabinet expansion is going to happen in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. In this cabinet expansion of yogi government, it is considered certain that bjp MLC dara singh Chauhan will become a minister. Recently, the party had nominated a candidate for the vacant seat in place of Dinesh Sharma and sent him to the Legislative Council. However, before this, dara singh Chauhan had to data-face defeat in the Ghosi by-election. In fact, after SubhaSP joined bjp led nda last year, dara singh Chauhan has resigned from Samajwadi Party. Before and after resigning, dara singh Chauhan ran several times from delhi to Lucknow. However, even before the assembly elections, he left bjp and joined SP. In the last assembly elections, SP made dara singh Chauhan its candidate from Ghosi seat and he won.
Meanwhile after resigning from the post of SP and MLA, by-election was held in Ghosi but he was defeated by sudhakar Singh of SP. However, bjp has been kind to dara singh Chauhan and he was made the Legislative Council candidate. But in the assembly elections, dara singh had won this seat by a margin of 22 thousand votes. But if we look at his political career, he has been a minister in the first term of yogi government also.
Moreover SP had earlier sent dara singh Chauhan to rajya sabha in 2000. However, after the 2007 assembly elections, he changed sides and rode the elephant of BSP. Then he contested the 2009 lok sabha elections from Ghosi and won. When Modi government was formed at the Center in 2014, dara singh Chauhan left BSP and adopted saffron. bjp made him the national president of the backward caste cell.
bjp made dara singh Chauhan its candidate from Ghosi in the 2017 assembly elections. He won this election and became a minister in the yogi government. But just before the 2022 assembly elections, he left the ministerial post and resigned from bjp and joined SP. dara singh Chauhan has studied till 10th class and his ancestral home is Azamgarh.
