Former chief minister of madhya pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan is an invincible warrior of politics. He was mp five times, mla six times and cm of the state for 16 and a half years. Presently he is mla from Budhni Assembly. The special thing is that after entering politics, shivraj singh chouhan was awarded a new post every two years. Former cm Shivraj Singh Chauhan has contested 12 elections so far, out of which he lost only one election. After this, he became the Joint Secretary of ABVP madhya pradesh in 1978-80 and its General Secretary in 1980-82. Became a member of the National Executive of ABVP in the year 1982-83.

He was elected mla from the Legislative assembly for the first time in the year 1990, however, he resigned from the membership on 23 november 1991 and in the year 1991, when former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee left the Vidisha parliamentary seat, Shivraj Singh Chauhan contested the lok sabha elections from Vidisha and won. In the year 1991-92, he became the convener of All india Kesariya Vahini. General Secretary of All india Janata yuva Morcha since 1992, became General Secretary in 1992-94. Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Human Resource Development in 1992-96, Committee on Labor and Welfare in 1993-96, hindi Advisory Committee in 1994-96 and Member of the Committee on Absence of Members from the Meetings of the house in 1995-96, Member of the Eleventh lok sabha in 1996 Members of the assembly were elected.
