Shinde government had passed the bill on 20 February

During this session, a bill was passed to provide 10 percent reservation to Marathas in government jobs and educational institutions. Earlier, Marathas were given 52 percent reservation. Due to the reservation given by Shinde government, their reservation became 62 percent. But their demand is that they should be given reservation within OBC. Because according to the supreme Court, no community can be given more than 50 percent reservation.
