He had reached ahmedabad in his home state gujarat to participate in the golden jubilee celebrations of gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF). Addressing a public meeting here, he said that I believe that today we are the largest dairy producing country in the world. Milk production in india has increased by 60 percent. PM Modi said that milk availability has also increased in the last 10 years. The dairy sector in india is growing at the rate of 6 percent, whereas in the world this sector is growing at the rate of 2 percent. The prime minister said in his address that I also salute Pashu Dhan for making this journey successful. I salute the livestock of the country. After India's independence, many brands were created in the country, but none like Amul. Today Amul products are exported to more than 50 countries.

PM Modi said that the government is working hard to increase the economic power of women. Due to the efforts of the government, in the last 10 years the number of women joining self-help groups has crossed 10 crores. Most of the houses given by the government under PM Awas Yojana are in the names of women.

In his address, PM Modi said that the annual turnover of our dairy sector is Rs 10 crore. It is noteworthy that the driving force behind our prosperous dairy sector is the women power of India.

The PM said that to make india developed, it is necessary to increase the economic power of every woman in india, hence today our government is also working all-round to increase the economic power of women. About 70% of the beneficiaries of the more than Rs 30 lakh crore that the government has provided under the Mudra Scheme are sisters and daughters.
