Police arrested accused who made hoax call in IGI Airport

Reportedly the accused, who had given a Hawks call to carry out a bomb blast on january 28 at the country's busiest and largest indira gandhi International airport, was finally arrested by the police of IGI airport police station. The accused has been identified as krishna Mahato (38). The accused is a resident of West Champaran district of Bihar. Since the threat call at the airport, the accused was continuously hiding here and there to avoid the police. delhi police caught him from Kapashera area.

Meanwhile IGI airport DCP usha Ranganani said that on january 28, at around 5.11 pm, the airport police had received a PCR call. The caller had said, "I will blast the airport." Considering the seriousness of the matter, high alert and full emergency was declared in the entire airport. Following the guidelines and protocols to be followed in such circumstances, to ensure the safety and security of the air passengers, a thorough search of the entire airport was conducted, in which it was revealed that the bomb blast call was hoax.

Moreover IGI airport police station had registered a case in this matter. Under the supervision of ACP IGI airport, SHO Vijender Rana was given the responsibility of this case. Inspector ajay Kumar, SI prem Narayan and Constable Vinod Pandey were included in SHO Rana's team. After investigating this team, the accused who made the Hawks call was arrested. When the team called the PCR calling number, it was found switched off. On which the police imposed technical surveillance on that mobile number, but in their efforts to reach the caller, the police did not get any specific clue. However, the police continued technical surveillance and extracted complete details of the mobile number, which revealed that it was registered in the name of krishna Mahato, a resident of West Champaran.
