As per report nitish kumar has made Sanjay Kumar Jha the candidate for rajya sabha elections. He can file nomination on wednesday (14 February). sanjay jha has been a minister in bihar government. At present he is a Legislative Councilor and National General Secretary of JDU. He is considered to have played an important role in making the alliance with BJP. He has previously been in BJP. Six rajya sabha seats from bihar are falling vacant in April. Two MLAs from RJD, two from JDU, one from bjp and one from congress are retiring.

Meanwhile the tenures of RJD's Manoj Jha and Ashfaq Karim, JDU's Anil prasad Hegde and Bashishtha Narayan Singh, BJP's sushil modi and Congress's Dr. Akhilesh Singh are completing. Let us tell you that before this, JDU's ally in the government, bjp, has declared its two candidates. The number of assembly members in bihar is 243. According to numbers, bjp can send at least two leaders to rajya sabha because for one mp, the support of 40 MLAs will be required and the number of bjp MLAs is 78. bjp has made Bhim Singh and Dharamsheela Gupta its candidates. Dharamsheela is the president of Mahila Morcha of bihar bjp while Bhim Singh is a former minister.

Perhaps by the first week of May this year, the tenure of 58 rajya sabha MPs will end, including former PM manmohan singh and bjp President JP Nadda. One mp will retire in February, while 55 MPs will retire in april and two MPs in May. Among these, maximum tenure of 28 MPs from bjp, 11 from congress, four from TMC, two each from BJD, RJD, JDU, four from BRS and one each from YSRCP and shiv sena will end. Apart from this, the tenure of SP's jaya bachchan is also about to end.
