As per report ajit pawar faction leader and maharashtra minister Chhagan Bhujbal has received a threatening letter. His office informed that Chhagan Bhujbal has received a threatening letter. Bhujbal's supporters have demanded additional security for him. Let us tell you that Chhagan Bhujbal had claimed on 3 february that he had resigned from the maharashtra Cabinet on 16 november, but had kept this fact secret. Chhagan Bhujbal had said that he had submitted his resignation from the post of Food and Civil Supplies minister to chief minister Eknath Shinde two months ago on november 16, when protests were at its peak in various parts of the state over the maratha reservation issue, but he did not accept it. Thought it was better to remain silent.

Meanwhile Bhujbal had said that his resignation letter is still with Shinde, but now he is planning to step down as mla from Yeola (Nashik) in the interest of the society and for the larger objective of ensuring justice to OBCs. At the same time, maratha movement leader Manoj Jarange said that if maharashtra minister and OBC leader Chhagan Bhujbal create obstacles in the path of reservation for the maratha community, he will challenge the Mandal Commission.

Last year, Chhang Bhujbal had received messages threatening to kill him 12 times on his phone. Bhujbal had to data-face the wrath of the maratha community due to his strong opposition to giving quota from the existing OBC reservation. ncp group leader Manoj Ghodake had lodged a complaint at Pundalik nagar police station. As a precautionary measure, maharashtra and mumbai police had increased personal security cover and beefed up security outside Bhujbal's home and offices in mumbai and Nashik.
