Reportedly the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested hemant Soren in the 8.42 acre land scam case in Bariatu, ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. ED took this action after a thorough investigation of 8 months. Due to the arrest, hemant also had to lose the post of Chief Minister. According to sources, on wednesday (January 31), ED interrogated hemant Soren for about 8 hours long. During this, hemant Soren did not answer many questions satisfactorily, after which the officials decided to arrest him. hemant Soren claimed that ED arrested him while he was holding the post of Chief Minister. According to the investigating agency, hemant has been arrested in the light of ECIR RNZO/25/23 registered in ranchi Sadar police station.

Hence according to ED sources, during the investigation of army Land, some villagers of Bariatu area of Badgai area of ranchi applied to the investigating agency. The villagers said that hemant Babu has encroached upon 8.42 acres of land in their area. The villagers alleged that this land is land, which cannot be bought or sold. Despite this, hemant Soren has been in possession of it since 2010. The villagers said that they had complained about this earlier also, but no hearing took place.

 After receiving the complaint, the Enforcement Directorate started investigation. ED officials first raided the house of area revenue sub-inspector Bhanupratap Prasad. In this raid, the investigating agency found some documents related to the complaint land.
