Former minister acquitted on charges of raping, MP-MLA court's decision

mp mla court on thursday acquitted former Union minister of State for home Swami Chinmayanand Saraswati in the case of sexually exploiting a student. Chinmayanand's lawyer Firoz Hasan Khan said that the mp mla court has acquitted him due to lack of evidence. He told that apart from the doctor and the victim on behalf of the prosecution, writer Khurshid, who filed the report, radiologist M.P. Gangwar and B.P. gautam has testified.

Advocate Khan said that the court has honorably acquitted Swami Chinmayanand without finding him guilty in this case. Swami Chinmayanand got anticipatory bail from allahabad High court on december 19, 2022 in the sexual abuse case. Since then this matter was pending in the court.

Know what was the allegation

Let it be known that in the year 2011, a disciple of former Union minister of State for home and founder of Mumukshu Ashram, Swami Chinmayanand, had accused him of raping her by keeping her hostage. The student had lodged an FIR in this regard at Chowk Kotwali. Since then this case is going on in the MP-MLA court of Shahjahanpur. After this the court sent several summons to Swami Chinmayanand for his appearance. But a non-bailable warrant was also issued against him for not appearing before the court.

According to the information given by government advocate Neelim Saxena, in 2011, allegations were made against Chimmayanand, the founder of Mumukshu Ashram in Shahjahanpur. Then his student had accused him of rape. On the other hand, Chinmayanand's lawyer Om Singh has said that justice has been received from the court after 14 years. We thank the court. If sources are to be believed, he was declared absconding in this case in 2022. Gaur was accused of not appearing in the court even after the bailable warrant was issued. After which the court declared him a fugitive.
