According to sources bjp has been with Nitish in bihar for a long time and in the past also. Now again bjp is going to tie up with Nitish's party. Despite this, since the time of 2020 assembly elections, BJP's strategy has been related to weakening JDU. The result of this was that after the death of ram Vilas Paswan, the main emphasis of his son chirag paswan was not on making his party win the elections, but on defeating the candidates of Nitish Kumar. When the results of 2020 assembly elections came, we all saw that JDU was reduced to just 43 seats.

Meanwhile Nitish's party was forced to become the third party after RJD and BJP. Chirag Paswan's stance was not the only reason for JDU's reduction in seats in the assembly elections, 2020, but it was definitely an important reason. chirag paswan fielded LJP candidates mostly from where JDU was contesting. Chirag Paswan's party did not contest in most of the seats from which bjp was contesting. It was part of the same strategy that LJP contested elections on 135 assembly seats and despite getting 5.66% votes, was able to win only one seat, but this decision causes a lot of loss to Nitish Kumar's party. This decision of chirag paswan was also a part of BJP's strategy, under which bjp was to change from the role of younger brother to the eldest brother in the politics of Bihar. In that election, bjp was successful to a great extent. However, after the results, the key to power remained with JDU, due to which it became a compulsion for bjp to make nitish kumar the Chief Minister.
