The Saudi Arabian mining company MAADEN has said that many gold deposits have been discovered, thereby increasing the possibility of expanding mining activities focusing on gold production in the region. Maaden's extensive exploration program announced by Mohammed bin salman in 2022 has been discovered.
Saudi Arabia undertook this extensive exploration work based on its plans to establish metal production in the country, but the discovery of gold was unexpected. This adds additional strength to Saudi Arabia's crude oil reserves. 2 samples taken 100 km to the Mansoura Massara gold mine yielded 10.4 grams of high-grade gold per tonne and the other 20.6 grams of gold. This means that up to 20.6 grams of gold has been obtained in one tonne of ore after refining. With this, it is expected to intensify the mining work in Mansoura Mazara gold mine in 2024. At the end of 2023, the Mansoura Mazara gold mine reported that it had about 7 million ounces of gold ore in the country. It is said to have the capacity to produce 2,50,000 ounces of gold per year. 11,982.84 ounces of gold was produced in 2022.
