Reportedly after chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, there are preparations for cabinet expansion for the new bharatiya janata party government in rajasthan also. New ministers are expected to be inducted in chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma government in a day or two. According to sources associated with bjp, cabinet expansion may take place on wednesday or thursday and preparations are being made at raj bhavan for the swearing-in.

Meanwhile MLAs are around jaipur and it is believed that like Madhya Pradesh, more new MLAs will be given opportunities. When asked about this issue, bjp state president C.P. Joshi said, "You will be informed about the cabinet expansion soon." cm Sharma was on a tour of Shrikaranpur assembly on tuesday and returned to jaipur on tuesday evening. Due to cabinet expansion, most of the MLAs are staying in Jaipur.

There is speculation that in place of senior members, those MLAs who have never become ministers till now may be given a chance. Some senior MLAs can also be made ministers and their number will not be much. At the same time, in view of the lok sabha elections, an eye will also be kept on maintaining caste and regional balance in the selection of new ministers. In this background, it is believed that in Shekhawati region, where BJP's performance has been lagging, most of the winning MLAs can be included in the cabinet.
