Reportedly the congress had recently formed a five-member National Alliance Committee to discuss seat-sharing arrangements for the upcoming general elections with the parties in the india Alliance. This committee has decided to discuss with senior leaders of different state congress before seat distribution. For this, the National Alliance Committee will take feedback from the state units after the nagpur rally to be held on the party's foundation day i.e. 28th December. Not only this, after discussion with senior leaders of the state, the committee will hold final talks on seat sharing with allies in the first week of January.

Formation of 5 member committee

Earlier on tuesday (December 19), the party had formed this 5-member committee for the upcoming lok sabha elections. This committee will be headed by Mohan Prakash. Two former chief ministers ashok gehlot and bhupesh baghel were also included in the committee. Apart from this, former Union Ministers salman Khurshid and Mukul Wasnik have also been made part of the committee. The objective of the committee is to hold talks with the allies in the alliance regarding seat sharing for the 2024 parliamentary elections.

Apart from this, in view of the preparations for lok sabha elections 2024, congress constituted a manifesto committee on friday (22 December), this committee will be headed by P Chidambaram. TS Singhdev has been made its coordinator. Leaders like priyanka Gandhi, Siddaramaiah and shashi tharoor have also been included in this committee.

After the recent defeat in Madhya Pradesh, rajasthan and chhattisgarh assembly elections, congress has started preparations for the lok sabha elections to be held next year. In this sequence, the congress high command held meetings with party leaders in Uttar Pradesh, odisha and West Bengal.
