9 people including Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman sentenced

Sunam court has sentenced 9 people including punjab Cabinet minister Aman Arora to two years imprisonment. Sentence has been given in a 15 year old case. Aman Arora was accused by his brother-in-law Rajinder deepa of breaking into the house and attacking him. All the accused were sentenced to two years under IPC section 452,148 and one year under section 323, 149. Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate pronounced the sentence.

According to the information, Aman Arora has a family feud with his brother-in-law Rajinder Deepa. A complaint regarding this was registered in the year 2008. After the sentencing of Aman Arora, his brother-in-law and Shiromani Akali Dal leader Rajinder deepa said that even though the decision came late, it was right and he welcomes it.

Important departments were taken from Aman Arora

It is noteworthy that just a few months ago, punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann had withdrawn two important departments including housing and urban development from Aman Arora. chief minister Mann had reshuffled the portfolios of his five ministers Aman Arora, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Laljit Singh Bhullar, chetan Singh Jaura Majra and Anmol Gagan Mann. The chief minister himself kept the Housing and Urban Development Department, which was earlier with Arora.
