Rajasthan Assembly session on 20th and 21st December

The first session of the 16th assembly of rajasthan will begin on december 20. The last day of the two-day session

will be on december 21. During this time, the MLAs who reached the assembly after registering victory in the

Rajasthan assembly elections will be sworn in.

Rajasthan governor Kalraj Mishra has given approval to convene the first session of the 16th Assembly. The first

session of the 16th assembly will begin from 20 december 2023. In this session, Protem Speaker Kalicharan Saraf

will administer oath to the newly elected MLAs on december 20. On the second day, on december 21, the oath of

the remaining MLAs and the election of the Speaker of rajasthan assembly will be held.

It is known that voting for the assembly elections was held in rajasthan on 25th November. The election results

came on 3 december and the bharatiya janata party won with an absolute majority. Voting was held on 199 out of

200 seats in Rajasthan. In the election results, bharatiya janata party won 115 seats. With this result it became clear

that the key to power from the hands of the congress party is now going to go to the BJP.

However, till then bjp had not made up its mind about the post of Chief Minister. The congress party, which was

reduced to 69 seats in the assembly elections, was attacking bjp over the election of the Chief Minister. Ultimately,

BJP elected Bhajanlal Sharma as chief minister a week after the election results. Apart from the chief minister,

BJP also implemented the formula of two Deputy CMs in Rajasthan. Under this formula, the party made Diya

Kumari and prem Chand Bairwa the Deputy Chief Ministers. All three took oath as ministers on 15 December. Now

MLAs will also take oath during the assembly session.
