Goondas on farmers: DMK government's cowardly act..!?

Annadurai
BJP state president annamalai has condemned the thug legal action against farmers as an act of cowardice by the DMK government. The tamil Nadu government has taken steps to acquire 3,174 acres of agricultural land in 11 villages including Melma for the expansion of the 3rd unit of Chipgat Industrial Estate near Seyyar in Tiruvannamalai district. In protest against this, a protest has been going on since July 2nd at the Melma Cooperative on behalf of the Melma Anti-Sipkot Farmers Movement. In this situation, the police arrested the farmers who had been participating in this protest for more than 125 days. While the case demanding the release of the farmers is pending in the Tiruvannamalai Court, action has been taken against the 7 arrested farmers under the Anti-Gun Act.

Various parties are opposing this. In that way, bjp state president annamalai has condemned that the DMK government has been working against the farmers in the whole of tamil Nadu. In this regard, he said on his X page, "Farmers have been protesting peacefully for the past 125 days against the plan to acquire 3,200 acres of agricultural land to set up Chipkot in Tiruvannamalai district of tamil Nadu. The DMK government, which has been working against the farmers all over tamil Nadu, has arrested the Tiruvannamalai farmers who are fighting peacefully under the thug law, and they have proven wrong that the DMK government cannot lower its standards further. We strongly condemn this cowardly act of DMK government. We assure the tamil Nadu bjp of providing full support and legal assistance to the families of the struggling farmers to protect them from this fascist DMK government.”
