Ambasamutram ASP Balveer Singh was accused of pulling out the teeth of the undertrials in criminal cases and torturing them during the police investigation at Ambasamutram, Wickramasinghapuram and Kallidaikurichi police stations in Ambasamutram police division of tirunelveli district.

However, no action has yet been taken against ASP Balveer Singh and other constables; No charge sheet has been filed. One of the victims, Arun Kumar, filed a petition in the madurai branch of the High Court. In it, the government should grant permission to take criminal action against Balveer Singh; expediting the trial and filing the charge sheet in the trial court; Amuda IAS He was asked to furnish the inquiry report.


The case came up for hearing today before high court madurai Branch Judge Ilangovan. At that time, it was informed on behalf of the tamil Nadu government that it has been given permission to take criminal action and file a charge sheet against Balveer Singh. Further, the tamil Nadu government has requested time for Amuda IAS to submit the investigation report. Subsequently, the trial was adjourned to december 1.
