MP Election: Election contest on this seat of Singrauli becomes interesting

Voting will be held for 230 assembly seats of madhya pradesh on november 17. Amidst the election

excitement, this time an interesting contest is going to take place on Devsar assembly seat of Singrauli district.

There is going to be a contest between an 80 year old maternal grandfather and a 27 year old granddaughter.

Congress has fielded older candidate Vanshamani prasad Verma here. Whereas Samajwadi party has fielded

Vanshamani's granddaughter Dr. sushma Prajapati.

Dr. sushma is the youngest female candidate, who has set out on the journey of becoming an mla from

medical profession. In a special conversation with ABP News, Dr. sushma explained the reason for coming into

politics. Dr. sushma Prajapati said that for the last many years, my father Dr. HL Prajapati was in the medical

profession as well as in politics. He told that my father was also the district Panchayat President. My father also

contested the 2018 assembly elections.

Dr sushma said that, but because of some people she had to become a victim of politics. Many cases were filed

against him. Because of which he cannot contest elections now. That's why my father inspired me to enter

politics. I am a doctor by profession and now want to do politics along with my profession. That's why I am

contesting the assembly elections. I am going among the public regarding the burning issues here and seeking

their blessings.

Vanshamani Verma is in the fray from Congress

She said that my maternal grandfather Vanshamani Verma is also contesting from congress party from Devsar

Assembly seat and I am contesting from Samajwadi Party. I will definitely get the blessings of the public. Let

us tell you that this time bjp has fielded Rajendra Meshram from Devsar assembly seat of Singrauli district by

canceling the ticket of sitting mla Subhash Verma. Whereas congress has fielded Vanshamani Verma in the

election field. He is trying his luck for the eighth time. 80 year old Vanshamani Verma had contested elections

for the first time in 1977.
