Prime minister Narendra Modi will address an election rally in Kanker district of Bastar region onThursday. This is prime minister Modi’s first election rally in congress ruled chhattisgarh state after theannouncement of elections in the state. bharatiya janata party (BJP) officials said that Prime MinisterModi will address a meeting in Kanker district on Thursday.He told that the prime minister will reach raipur airport by indian Air Force plane at 1:55 pm on Thursdayand will leave for Kanker by helicopter. He told that the Prime Minister’s rally will be held in Kanker cityat 3 pm. police officials said that the venue of the event has been cordoned off under extensive securitycover. Kanker is located at a distance of about 150 kilometers from the capital Raipur. Voting will be held in the first phase in seven districts of Naxal-affected Bastar division and 20 seats in Rajnandgaon, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, Kabirdham andKhairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai districts and in the second phase on the remaining 70 seats. Counting ofvotes will take place on december 3.
