20% Bonus for employees working in government Public Sector Organizations: TN Govt
According to sources tamilnadu government has announced that 20 percent bonus will be given to the employees working in government public sector organizations. government of tamil Nadu has announced that 'C' and 'D' category workers and employees working in all government public sector enterprises will be paid up to 20 percent excess wages and gratuity. chief minister Stalin has issued an order for this. As per the amended Excess Wages Act 2015, the ceiling of salary eligible for excess wages has been increased to Rs.21000. According to this, the monthly ceiling for calculating excess wages has also been increased to Rs.7000. Accordingly, it has been informed that excess wages and gratuity will be paid for the year 2022-23. It is also informed that workers and employees working in profit-making public sector enterprises will be given 8.33 percent excess wages and 11.67 percent gratuity, up to 20 percent of excess wages and gratuity, taking into account the allocable surplus amount of the respective companies.
Accordingly, eligible workers working in public sector companies namely tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation, tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, tamil Nadu Consumer Goods Trading Corporation will be paid 8.33 percent excess wages and 11.67 percent gratuity, totaling 20 percent excess wages and gratuity. The workers and employees working in public sector enterprises are paid 8.33 per cent minimum excess wages and 1.67 per cent gratuity, giving a total of 10 per cent excess wages and gratuity.
Eligible category 'C' and 'D' employees working in tamil Nadu Housing Board and chennai Drinking Water Supply and Sewerage Board will be paid 8.33 per cent excess pay and 1.67 per cent gratuity. Eligible category 'C' and 'D' employees working in tamil Nadu Drinking Water and Drainage Board will be paid 8.33 percent extra pay. Apart from this, it has been announced that Rs.3,000/- will be given as gratuity to the workers working on temporary basis in tamil Nadu Consumer Goods Trading Corporation. With this, the permanent workers eligible for overpayment will get a minimum of Rs.8400 and a maximum of Rs.16800. In total, 402 crore 97 lakh rupees will be paid as excess wages and gratuity to 2 lakh 83 thousand 787 workers working in Public Sector Undertakings of tamil Nadu Government. Apart from this, orders for employees working in various cooperative organizations and institutions will be issued separately.
