MLC Prakash Rathore, Siddaramaiah's aide, who has issued a media statement regarding the neglect of Lingayats in the congress government, said that in the last election, He said that even though 80 percent of Muslims voted for congress, they were given only 2 ministerial posts. Lingayats are neglected in congress government. Siddaramaiah Apta, MLC Prakash Rathore has expressed his opposition to the statement of senior minister Shamanur Shivshankarappa who had stated that his fault is a dog's fault. Shamanur Shivshankarappa's statement hurt me a lot. No one needs to tell Shivashankarappa that social justice is the lifeblood of the congress party. But the Lingayats are unhappy under the prevailing congress rule in the state. Shamanur Sivashankarappa's public statement that members of the Lingayat community are not being considered for important posts is very disappointing to me. You have forgotten the community that voted for you in large numbers with this statement. Prakash Rathore wrote that you have forgotten the contribution of minorities, dalits and backward classes in bringing the congress party to power in the state and have hurt all other communities by talking about their own community.

You are not just elected 7 times by one community vote. I am saddened that you have raised your voice on behalf of a handful of officials from just one community. According to the survey, 80% of Muslims voted for Congress. However, only 20% of the votes from Lingayats have come to the Congress. Despite this, Lingayats have been given 7 seats in the state cabinet. Only 2 seats are given to Muslim community. The Lambani community is sh. 80% of the votes were given to the congress party. congress played an important role in winning many constituencies. However, the Lambani community did not get a ministerial position. Uppara, Banajiga and Yadava communities have also not been given ministerial posts.

In all the assembly constituencies of Davangere district, the minority votes are per cent. 40 percent. Scheduled Castes and scheduled tribes have 20% votes. Percentage of backward classes 6 MLAs were elected to congress with 15% votes. An environment has been created in which the congress will win 28 constituencies in the lok sabha elections and the Hon'ble chief minister is working towards providing social justice to all classes. Shamanur condemned Shivshankarappa's move saying that all MLAs and leaders should actively support this effort.
