Telangana Hyderabad - Fast-track permission process for mines

The minister for Mines, Patnam Mahender reddy, requested authorities to expedite the approval process for mines that were recently acquired through an auction, claiming that Telangana's sand policy was the finest in the nation and was being adopted by other States. Together with Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, the minister conducted his first departmental review meeting in the Secretariat. He enquired about the state of mining, quarry leases, and tax collection thus far, as well as the extent to which the government's aim had been met.


Reddy talked about the environmental clearance received for the creation and operation of the freshly acquired mining blocks brought by way of auction. He gave the go-ahead for the work to be accelerated. He said that the department's successes in the State since 2014 will aid in advancement. It was encouraging to see the department make such remarkable progress. Although the department has already received Rs 3,884 crore, the objective for this year was Rs 2,267 crore, according to him. To reach the intended goals, he urged the personnel to continue working with the same commitment in the future.

The chief minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, will be informed of any recommendations to fill the department's 127 open positions, the minister promised. We would make every attempt to incorporate technology to boost the department and its subsurdata-face resources. reddy praised the TSMDC for its several national honors. In order to prevent unlawful trafficking, 400 CCTV cameras have been deployed throughout the State's 101 reaches where sand is delivered. He instructed staff to write to all collectors in order to expedite the issuance of licenses for sand mining on Patta properties. The administrators were instructed to make sure that there was enough sand in each region.
