Health minister T harish rao on tuesday gave the superintendent of Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital instructions to expand the hours of outpatient treatment to accommodate the increased number of patients in response to the state's escalating conjunctivitis cases. The minister raised issues about eye infections during the rainy season and emphasised the critical role of ASHA and ANMs (Accredited Social health Activists and Auxiliary Nurse Midwives) in identifying affected people and making sure they receive appropriate treatment.
