Relief for citizens as biomining works begin in Nizamabad

In Telangana, waste management has grown to be an enormous challenge as dump yards fill up with years' worth of junk. people nearby data-face substantial health risks as a result of the hazardous waste at these locations. The State government has started biomining programs in 123 Urban local Bodies (ULBs) to solve this problem. By using microorganisms to break down organic waste, a technique known as biomining makes it simpler to handle and get rid of.

The biomining project in nizamabad Municipality is almost finished, and operations should start in a week. To recover 51 acres of land, the nizamabad Municipal Corporation plans to clean up 4.6 lakhs MT of legacy garbage. Approximately 180–200 metric tonnes of garbage are produced every day by the nizamabad municipality, according to authorities. According to venu madhav Annaram, cluster project manager for Cube Bio-Energy Private Limited, chemicals have been applied to the garbage at the dump site as part of the operation. Machine installation is also ongoing. The segregation process will start in a week, followed by a trial run.


On the other hand, kamareddy biomining operations are scheduled to start in a month. Currently, the town produces around 20 to 25 metric tonnes of trash each day, which is sent to a landfill site outside the city.
