Telangana - US-based StemCures to set up India’s largest stem cell manufacturing lab in Hyderabad
The facility will be built with an estimated investment potential of US$54 million and with the potential for 150 jobs over a few phases. The statement was made during a meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, between IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao and Dr. Sairam Atluri, Founder of StemCures. The planned plant's goal is to use the most recent technology and know-how from the US to create the highest-quality stem cell products at competitive prices for treating a range of significant medical problems.
"It gives me such hope to watch Hyderabad, my city, develop into a thriving center for medical advancements. We had no trouble setting up an R&D center, and we are now looking forward to growing with the production unit. The stem cell line's R&D is currently coming to a close at Aspire Bionest in the university of Hyderabad, and StemCures is prepared to start a Phase 1 production lab.
