Telangana's junior panchayat secretaries have vowed to keep working without pay until their jobs are regularised, despite threats from the state administration that they would lose their jobs if they didn't report for work on Tuesday. junior panchayat Secretaries (JPSs) were given notice that they had formed a union in breach of their agreement bond and gone on strike by panchayat raj Principal Secretary sandeep Kumar Sultania.
According to the agreement, the official stated, JPSs are not permitted to join any service unions, organizations, or associations. Additionally, the workers declared that they would have no claim or entitlement to regular appointments. Those whose performance is judged to be satisfactory can only be regularised, according to sandeep Sultania. "The regularisation of service of any contract employee cannot be for all, but will be subject to the assessment and evaluation of their performance by a committee appointed by the government," he added.
Sultania claimed that JPSs lost all rights to carry on in the services because their strike was illegal. You are instructed to report for duty by 5 p.m. on tuesday as a last resort. Your services will be terminated if you don't report for duty by tuesday at 5 o'clock, he added. But the JPSs, who have been on strike since april 28, said they would keep striking until they received a categorical guarantee from the government. In the state, there are roughly 9,500 junior panchayat Secretaries. They were hired under a three-year probationary period through the telangana State Public service Commission (TSPSC), and the probationary period was then extended by an additional year.
