Delhi bars, restaurants, and restaurants in 4 and 5-star hotels can operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week after getting the license. Everyone knows that there is very little nightlife in India, but many studies say that nightlife is very important for a big city, especially for a rapidly developing economy. In this situation, the government has made important announcements to please the people of delhi in 2023.
As per the new norms, all the restaurants in five and four-star hotels, airports, railway stations, and ISBT premises will be allowed to operate on a 24X7 basis after paying the required license fee under the new relaxed norms. Also, in 5-star and 4-star hotels, only one bar per restaurant. The ceiling on which a license can be granted has been removed under the new regulation.

Lt. governor VK Saxena constituted a committee in november 2022 to streamline licensing requirements for restaurants/food stalls and to review the existing regulations. After submitting the committee's report, several rounds of meetings were held to take a final decision on the new norms, officials said. The new norms are currently being sent to the National Informatics Center (NIC) for making necessary changes in the new application and uploading it on the MHA Licensing Portal.
In the next 3 weeks, entrepreneurs in delhi will be able to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, after receiving the license that includes the new changes. Recently tamil Nadu Finance minister PDR and telangana Industries minister KTR have talked about the importance of nightlife in some interviews that will bring about a change in this business market.
