Following news that the Union home minister is looking into the potential of a security breakdown, the state police have been greatly embarrassed by the black balloons flown by certain congress party members in andhra pradesh on monday at gannavaram airport. Minutes after departing from the gannavaram airport for bhimavaram to take part in the 125th anniversary celebrations of revolutionary freedom hero Alluri Sitarama Raju, few black balloons were seen flying in the air closer to the prime minister's helicopter.

Later, the krishna district police stated that four members of the congress were detained for throwing black balloons into the air near the Vijayawada-area gannavaram airport in response to prime minister Narendra Modi's arrival. Another member of congress is missing. The police refuted claims that the flying of the black balloons at the airport resulted in a security breach. They claimed that by displaying black balloons, the leaders of the congress sent a call to all citizens to oppose PM Modi.
The krishna district police had implemented Sections 30 of the police Act and Section 144 as a preventative measure. Around 8:30 am, three people—Sunkadara Padmashree, Parvathi, and Kishore—were observed heading toward the airport while carrying black balloons. This was before the PM arrived. The three were recognised by the police, who then detained them and booked them in accordance with IPC sections 353, 341, 188, and 145. The officers also deflated the balloons.
