The financial statement of the government of tamil Nadu for the year 2022-23 is being made today. The financial statement will be presented by Finance minister P.T.R. Palanivel Thiagarajan. The budget is scheduled to be tabled at 10 a.m. today in the Legislative assembly at fort St. George, Chennai.
Last year, like the first budget presented by the government, this budget is expected to be a paperless budget. The financial statement is expected to announce the DMK's monthly allowance of Rs.1000 for women and monthly electricity bills announced in its election manifesto. Also, government employees and teachers are expecting that the old pension scheme-based announcements will be featured.
It is expected that the announcement of the launch of the academic journal will be made twice a month, just as there is for educational television for students. DMK Announcements made in the election promise and not yet fulfilled are expected to be released as announcements in today’s budget. Following the filing of the financial statement, the business review meeting is scheduled to take place this afternoon. The review meeting is to be chaired by Speaker Appavu. The meeting is expected to discuss how many days the budget will be debated.
During the budget session, the AIADMK is expected to raise the issue of NEET selection, including anti-corruption raids on AIADMK homes. Last year, MK stalin was the first to file a separate financial statement for agriculture. Similarly, will a separate financial statement be filed for agriculture this year as well? There has always been anticipation. Security has been beefed up at the General secretariat ahead of the budget being tabled in the legislature.
