Jammu and Kashmir: prime minister Narendra Modi celebrated diwali with army personnel at Navshora of Jammu and Kashmir.

Prime minister Modi, who enjoyed feeding sweets to the soldiers with his hand, addressed the gathering that he had not come here as prime minister and had come as a member of your family.


Prime minister Modi said he was proud of the role played by indian troops in the surgical strike and would forever remember the day when it was decided to end the offensive and return before sunset.

During the diwali celebrations with army personnel in Navshora, prime minister Modi said that during the surgical strike, he sat near the phone and kept asking about the condition of the troops.

For the 8th year in a row, prime minister Modi has celebrated diwali with soldiers in the Navshora area of Rajouri, a data-border district of Jammu and Kashmir.
