The Centre has produced rules to help consumers determine if they are receiving genuine Covid-19 vaccinations, only days after the World health Organization (WHO) announced that bogus copies of Covishield had been discovered in Southeast Asia and Africa, according to sources. During the ongoing immunization programs in india, people who are eligible will receive Covishield from the Serum Institute of india (SII), Covaxin from Bharat Biotech, and the Russian vaccine Sputnik V.


As per sources, the Centre has released a list of metrics based on the label, color, and other details that may be used to determine the validity of Covid vaccinations used in the nation. 683.7 million vaccines shots against Covid-19 have been delivered in the nation so far, according to the Federal Ministry of health & Social Welfare. "India's COVID-19 immunization coverage has topped the aggregate figure of 68.37 Crore (68,379,533) on sunday with the distribution of 71,58,882 vaccine doses in the previous one day," the health ministry stated.


The SII sticker is dark green, and the metal flip-off seal is dark green as well and the initial vaccination mentions the brand name as well as the copyright. To make the letters more visible, it is printed in a nice white ink and the Generic name is written in non-bold font. “CGS NOT FOR SALE” is reprinted on the back and Only a few people who are familiar with the specific details may recognize the SII logo since it is printed from a different perspective and location.
