Mumbai's First EV Charging Point at a Public Parking lot!

Environmental minister Aditya thackeray has now inaugurated EV Charging station at Kohinoor Building Parking lot in mumbai and this is the first-ever EV Charging point at a PPL (Public Parking Lot) in Mumbai. This PPL possesses 2 DC Fast Chargers and they can completely charge a car in 1 to 1.5 hours time and a normal AC charger takes 7 hours to charge a car completely. 


Environment minister Adithya said that several such EV stations would soon be set up across the city as Electric vehicles are the need right now and they will be made available in various parking lots soon. He also added a survey will be taken based on the number of Electric vehicles in the city and soon they would create more such charging stations on various public hot spots. 


Maharashtra state-provided lots of Tax exemptions for those who change their vehicles to electric as they would get lots of benefits like Road Tax Exemption, zero Registration Charges, and so on. The State government encourages the residents to transform to Electric in order to control the spread of carbon dioxide Emissions and now Electric cars have reduced upto 60% of the carbon dioxide emissions and that plays a major role in Global Warming.
