Ex-cricketer crowned as Punjab Congress chief amid conflicts: President Navjot Singh Sidhu

Putting an end to all the suspense that happened over few weeks, on saturday the congress Interim chief sonia gandhi crowned Navjot Sidhu as the President of punjab Congress. 


The party head sonia gandhi has also allotted four working presidents chiefly to assist Navjot Sidhu in the rustle-up to the next assembly polls. Sangat Singh, Pawan Goel, sukhwinder singh Danny, and Kuljit Singh Nagra are the working presidents allotted.


The hectic activity was noted throughout on sunday in congress headquarters, both in punjab and the capital head Delhi, as attempts to resolve the catastrophes in the state attracted steam.


All congresses Mp's gathered at Pratap Singh Bajwa's residence in Delhi, however, they recorded that the PCC Chief issue was not discussed. This decision was taken immediately to resolve the loggerheads between Navjot Sidhu and chief minister Amarinder Singh. 


Drawing curtains to all the feud in punjab, elevation comes right after the bitter battle for President of punjab congress Chief Navjot Sidhu. The congress High Leaders tried hard to reach out to both the sections of Punjab's congress leaders to put an end to the feud from crumbling ahead of polls in 2020.


The chief minister of the state amarinder singh was against Sidhu's elevation as he wrote to the party chief that crowning a Jat Sikh might upset the senior leaders of the party representing the Hindu body.
