Jagan cannot contest elections if this happens!
It has been exactly a year since Jagan has been arrested and he is still in jail without any hope of getting released on bail in the near future. But fans of YSR and Jagan believe that he will come out of the jail and become a CM and also a king maker.
But if one looks at the election commission rules as per the constitution, then any person who remains in judicial custody continuously for a period of two years will be ineligible to contest elections for assembly or parliament. This was also told to media by Congress leader Tulsi Reddy recently. So in case Jagan languishes in Jail for one more year then it will be difficult for him to stand for elections in 2014!
