Christians moving away from YSRCP?
Already facing allegations that Jagan’s family and his party are politicising Christianity, there are reports coming in that Christian organisations across the state are gearing up to launch an agitations against how YSR’s relative Peter is trying to indulge in land encroachments on the pretext of taking Hebron churches across the state under his control.
Recently Jagan’s uncle YS Vivekananda was in news as he gave a call for the pastor in Vempally, Cuddapah to move away from the place and threatened him seriously. It is being said that close relatives of YSR were trying to grab land belonging to church and as the pastor resisted it, he was threatened. It is also being said that this is happening at a prominent Hebron church located at RTC X roads in Hyderabad and many are resisting it. There are chances that this may result in a situation where the Christian card cannot be trusted blindly by the party any longer.
