The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration services (USCIS) stated that the initial registration period for the 2024 H-1B visas for talented professionals will be open from march 1 to march 17. During this time, prospective petitioners and representatives can finish and submit their applications via the online H-1B registration system. Each registration submitted for the FY 2024 H-1B cap will receive a confirmation number from the USCIS that can be used to keep track of registrations. The USCIS stated in a release that the number cannot be used to check the status of a case in Case Status Online.

Each beneficiary must be electronically registered for the selection process using a myUSCIS online account by all prospective H-1B cap-subject petitioners. Additionally, they must pay a $10 registration fee for each registration sent on behalf of each recipient. A registrant account will be used by registrants, or U.S. employers and agents, who will be able to open new accounts starting on february 21. Registrants and representatives must wait until march 1 to enter beneficiary information and submit the registration with the $10 cost, according to the USCIS statement. "Representatives may add clients to their accounts at any time," it said.
