Alia Bhatt is currently signing up movies which show her acting prowess. Off late she signs such female-centric roles and movies. Her last hit was 'Raazi' which is a Period drama directed by Meghna Gulzar.
The movie wass funded by Vineet Jain, Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner of Dharma Productions. Vicky Kaushal has done the male lead role. The movie is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat, about an Indian spy married to a Pakistani military officer during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
