Baby John was made on a budget of 180 crores. This film has been able to collect only 35 crores at the box office. The film has flopped so badly that it could not even collect half of its budget.

In a special conversation with bollywood Hungama, trade analyst Taran adarsh said- The industry feels that this genre will work but in this case, the audience has rejected this film. Otherwise, the opening of this film was going to be great because it was released on Christmas. Till the New Year, people are in a mood to celebrate and celebrate a lot of holidays. People also feel somewhere that varun dhawan did not live up to the expectations.

Trade analyst Atul Mohan said that ever since the announcement of the film, the excitement about it had increased among the people because varun dhawan was in it and it was going to be a masala film. Also, Atlee's name was associated with it, so the expectations had increased further. But when the trailer came, it went down. This is not the fault of the film but a marketing failure.

Atul further said that the fate of the film is decided after the release of the film.But before the release, the marketing team failed to excite the audience so thattheycould buy tickets on the first day. It is a masala film, but the makers released romantic songs. Varun was also shown doing comedy in the asset. The city tour did not benefit. The producer's expenses increased unnecessarily. Baby john is now taking small steps at the box office instead of jumping on the day of release.
