We should behave in the same way towards drug addicts socially, politically, and personally.'' pooja further said that we have been singing war songs for drug addicts for a hundred years. I think we should have sung love songs for them because the opposite of addiction is not abstinence.Rather, addiction has an opposite relationship.Through this post, pooja shared with her fans that she has now completely come out of the world of addiction.
The 'Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi' actress quit drinking around 2016. pooja bhatt, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, has spoken openly about her struggle with alcohol. She had earlier said that she decided to quit drinking after realizing that she was caught in the "web of addiction" and understood that the only way to get free from it is to accept herself.
During her stint on the reality show "Bigg Boss OTT 2", the 'Sadak' actress admitted that she was addicted to alcohol, which prompted her to accept her addiction and decide to quit.
Puja also spoke about how women often do not have as much freedom as men to openly discuss addiction in society.
She said on the show, "Society gives men the license, and thus they can openly talk about alcohol addiction and recover from it. However, women do not drink openly, and hence they are not able to recover openly. I used to drink openly, so when I thought of recovering from alcohol addiction, I realized why should I recover in hiding. people used to call me an alcoholic, but then I said, 'I am recovering from alcohol addiction.'"
