Prachi Desai showed her acting skills from tv to films. She earned a lot of name in the industry. But the actress has struggled a lot in the industry. She had told that there is a lot of nepotism in the industry. In an old interview, she had told that star kids get a lot of films even after being flops.
How did you get the films?
Talking about her journey, Prachi had said in an interview to Times of India, 'I am very grateful to Ritesh Sidhwani, farhan akhtar and abhishek kapoor for Rock On. I was very young then and I didn't have many friends in the industry at that time. I don't think anyone took me seriously at that time because maybe they thought I was a one film wonder. Thankfully, after my debut, I got Once Upon a Time in mumbai and then Bol Bachchan.'

Regarding nepotism in the industry, she said, 'But I always had to struggle. Because I was not an industry kid. Outsiders are not able to fit in as well as star kids. We outsiders do not get that many chances. It is very rare to get a big film. But star kids get film offers on a platter, while most of the time their films keep flopping! With all due respect, I think I honestly say that it is always difficult for an outsider.'
