However, Aamir Khan’s decision extends this period further. This move seems influenced by his recent experience with Laapataa Ladies, a film directed by his ex-wife kiran rao and co-produced with jio Studios, which saw a strong marketing push and a successful theater release on march 1.
In other news, aamir khan has appointed aparna Purohit, former Head of Originals for Prime Video india and Southeast Asia, as the new head of his production house. He also shared his intention to focus more on producing in the coming years. Upcoming projects from aamir khan Productions include Sitaare Zameen Par by RS Prasanna, starring Aamir and genelia D’Souza (slated for a christmas release), Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947 with sunny deol and Preity Zinta, and an untitled romantic drama by sunil Pandey featuring Aamir’s son junaid khan and bollywood newcomer Sai Pallavi.
