Aranmanai 4 has added yet another feather to the successful franchise. Does making horror comedies for family audiences ever feel like a difficult challenge for you?
No, I always consider it a problem since it is tough to establish a franchise, especially when people have expectations. Like, we have to design something that meets their expectations, but if we keep doing the same thing, they will become weary. We can't go too much beyond the graph either since films aren't like cricket, where we can keep hitting boundaries, but rather like tennis or badminton.
Take any franchise in the world, such as Spiderman, Superman, or Batman; such films follow a specific formula. This formula applies to Aranmanai as well. The way we establish the films will include a ghost angle, a humor perspective, an emotional flashback, and a divine intervention, but the movie must also be unique, which is the toughest obstacle.

Initially, vijay sethupathi was planned as the leading actor for Aranmanai 4 but he had to step out due to scheduling issues. Were any sort of significant changes made to the script after you replaced his character?
The script had a few substantial modifications. Initially, there was a love connection between Raashii's character Dr. Maya, and my character Adv. Saravanan. However, since I was playing the latter character, I opted to abandon the romantic element. There was also a song, but because the angle was canceled, it was automatically erased.

Tamil cinema had been experiencing a downward trend in box office collections, but with Aranmanai 4, audiences returned to the big screens. What's your thought on making such a sensation in theaters?
I am pleased since I was talking to a well-known theatre owner a few months ago. He was speaking with me about the biggest issue facing the film business, and he was telling me that theatres had been struggling for the past four months. Even in May, no perfect films for all types of audiences had been released, and theatres were planned to close by the end of the month.
However, a few days ago, the same theatre owner phoned me and said that because to Aranmanai 4, theatres are doing well for the time being. people are entering the theatres. I am pleased because a film includes the livelihoods of thousands and lakhs of people rather than just a few, such as a director or a hero. From the film's light guy to the theater's cafeteria staff, their livelihoods are dependent on the picture. As a producer or director, I have a responsibility to create profitable and enjoyable films. In that way, I was overjoyed when Aranmanai 4 became a huge success.
