Shraddha Kapoor is one of India’s highest-paid actresses. She started her acting journey with a small part in the 2010 movie Teen Patti and then took on her first major role in the teen drama Luv Ka The End (2011). It was her portrayal of Arohi Keshav Shirke in the 2013 romantic musical Aashiqui 2 that catapulted her to fame. The film emerged as her first commercial success, earning her widespread praise and numerous nominations, including a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.Since then, Shraddha has established herself as a leading actress with roles in films like Ek Villain (2014), ABCD 2 (2015), and baaghi (2016). Her ancestry is diverse, with punjabi roots from her father’s side and Marathi and Konkani heritage from her mother’s side. Her maternal grandfather, Pandharinath Kolhapure, belonged to Kolhapur, while her maternal grandmother hailed from Panaji, Goa. Shraddha’s family has several actors, including her father Shakti Kapoor, mother Shivangi Kapoor, elder brother Siddhanth Kapoor, and aunts padmini Kolhapure and tejaswini Kolhapure. She also shares familial ties with renowned figures such as Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, meena Khadikar, usha Mangeshkar, and Hridaynath Mangeshkar. Shraddha attended Jamnabai Narsee school for her schooling before transferring to the American school of bombay at the age of 15. Interestingly, she was classmates with tiger shroff and athiya shetty during her time there.
