Janhvi Kapoor replaces Alia opposite Varun Dhawan
In Dulhania 3, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, varun Dhawan, and shashank Khaitan will collaborate once more following the success of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). Supported by dharma productions, the production company of karan johar, the movie will star janhvi kapoor as Tulsi Kumari instead of alia bhatt, who was in both of the previous Dulhania series films. Sunny Sanskari will be played by Varun.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari's main actors, directors, and karan johar posted the formal announcement video on instagram on Thursday. Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring varun Dhawan and janhvi kapoor, is produced by dharma productions and is scheduled to open in cinemas on april 18, 2025.
The film's title and release date were announced with an accompanying description that said, "Your Sanskari is on his way to collect his (Tulsi emoji) Kumari! This entertaining love story will soon be available on huge screens! On april 18, 2025, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will open in theatres. Following the release of their Nitesh Tiwari-directed film Bawaal in 2023, varun and Janvi are getting back together again.
Karan Johar seemed to respond to a rumour earlier this year claiming that janhvi kapoor will be replacing alia bhatt, who starred in both Dulhania films, in Dulhania 3. He requested that the media "not speculate about" the future movie.
