Indrani Mukerjea: Will the docu-series made on Indrani be banned? cbi knocked on the door of the High Court

'The Indrani Mukherjee Story: The Buried Truth' will be seen telling the story of Sheena Bora's disappearance. Streaming platform Netflix has fixed february 23 for its premiere.


The cbi has approached the bombay high court, seeking a stay on the release of a documentary series on Sheena Bora's murder accused Indrani Mukherjee. The investigating agency has taken this step a day after the appeal was rejected by a special court.


CBI reached the Hig6h Court

The agency has told the high court that Indrani has been violating the conditions imposed on her to not influence witnesses, due to which the cbi is considering filing a petition to cancel the bail granted to her. Hearing the case, a division bench headed by Justice Revati Mohite Dere asked the makers of the documentary series whether the witnesses who are yet to be examined in the murder case are included in the series.


Will premiere on 23 February

'The Indrani Mukherjee Story: The Buried Truth' will be seen telling the story of Sheena Bora's disappearance. It is scheduled to premiere on streaming platform Netflix on february 23. The special court on tuesday had rejected the CBI's plea to ban the docu-series.


CBI lawyer said this

Central Bureau of Investigation lawyer Shriram Shirsat said in the high court on wednesday that the docu-series makers should have been consulted by the agency once regarding this. He said that the cbi is not demanding a complete ban on the release of the docu-series, but is requesting a stay till the hearing of the case is over. At present the matter has been adjourned till Thursday.
