Rajinikanth: Rajinikanth defended daughter Aishwarya's 'Sanghi' statement, said - never called it a wrong word


South superstar Rajinikanth is in the headlines these days for 'Lal Salaam'. Recently, the audio launch event of the film took place, where Thalaivaa's daughter and the film's director aishwarya Rajinikanth was also present. During this, aishwarya supported her father and said that her father Rajinikanth is not a Sanghi. On this issue, aishwarya and Rajinikanth had to data-face the anger of users on social media. He was trolled. Now today, on Monday, Rajinikanth finally broke his silence and clarified that he never intended to use 'Sanghi' as a bad word.

In fact, during the audio launch, aishwarya Rajinikanth had openly spoken about the recent personal attacks on her father on social media. He had said that contrary to what people wrote on social media, his father was not a Sanghi and if he had been a Sanghi, he would not have saluted. His statement was criticized by netizens and now Rajinikanth has come to the defense of his daughter. Defending his daughter Aishwarya, Rajinikanth said, 'My daughter never said that Sanghi is a bad word. She just questioned why her father was labeled like this when he was into spirituality.

The audio launch of 'Lal Salaam' took place on 26 january at Sri Sairam Institute of Technology, Chennai. Addressing the gathering, he thanked his team. Speaking at the event, aishwarya Rajinikanth opened up about the recent personal attacks on her father on social media. She said, 'I usually stay away from social media, but my team often keeps telling me what is happening and keeps showing some posts. I used to get angry seeing them. We are also human beings. In recent times many people call my father and say he is a Sanghi. I didn't know what it meant. I then asked someone what Sanghi meant and he said that people who support a particular political party are called Sanghi.


Continuing her point, aishwarya said, 'I would like to make it clear here that Rajinikanth is not a Sanghi. If he had been a Sanghi, he would not have done a film like 'Lal Salaam'. Hearing this, Rajinikanth had tears in his eyes, while his fans were happy to hear Aishwarya's speech. aishwarya also revealed that initially, it was difficult to start this film, as not many producers came forward to produce it. He also said that he had not even thought about asking his father to be a part of the film.

Talking about the film, 'Lal Salaam' is a sports drama, in which actor Rajinikanth will be seen doing an extended cameo. The film stars vishnu vishal and Vikrant in lead roles. 'Laal Salaam' is directed by aishwarya Rajinikanth and produced by subaskaran allirajah of Lyca Productions. Talking about the release, 'Lal Salaam' will hit the theaters on february 9, 2024.
