PVR and Inox Hit with 'Salaar' Ban.?

The renowned Malliplex chain has taken a significant decision by refusing to screen "Salar" on PVR and Inox, leading to a boycott of these theatres. Kirangadur, the head of Hombale Productions, made this serious decision due to PVR's alleged refusal to cooperate regarding the release of "Salar." The conflict arose as PVR reportedly favoured "Dunki," prioritizing its release over "Salaar" despite an initial agreement to share theatres on a 50-50 basis.

Similar challenges are said to be data-faced with Miraj Cinemas. Hombale Productions, the banner behind "Salar," announced a ban on both PVR and Inox, as well as Mirage Cinemas. Despite fair discussions and even intervention from Shahrukh Khan, the producers felt that the ownership decisions of PVR and the alleged overaction of Mirage Cinemas were unjust. The ban extends to single screens across the North and theatres in South India.

This decision is likely to have severe implications for "Salar's" openings, as it will not be screened on key PVR screens in the North. The ban on PVR Inox, which holds 50 percent of screens in South India, is expected to significantly impact the movie's collections. While there is concern that these controversies may affect "Salar's" opening records, the movie is still anticipated to create a buzz during the christmas weekend, with expectations of substantial collections.
