If two films with the same title are released on the same day, will the audience not get confused? But such a scene happened. Two movies are releasing on the same date with the same plot title. Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer and Dhyan Srinivasan's malayalam film Jailer are releasing on the same day. While Rajini Jailer is directed by Nelson dilip Kumar, malayalam Jailer is directed by Sakkir Madathil.

However, the film team reveals that the malayalam title 'Jailer' was registered with the kerala Film Chamber of Commerce much earlier. If two films with the same title are released at the same time, the audience may get confused. The malayalam producers requested that Rajinikanth's film will be a huge release in malayalam, so it will cause a big problem for their small film. 

Sakkir Madathil requested sun Pictures to consider an alternative title in malayalam to get out of the title mess. But sun Pictures seems to have rejected this request. Moreover, sun Pictures approached the court against the title clash. Madathil also decided to settle the matter with a counter file in the court as the hearing is scheduled for august 2. Both films are moving ahead with their release plans despite ongoing court proceedings. 

The plot of Rajinikanth Jailer has not been revealed till now. Nelson has taken precautions for this film without any leaks. And malayalam Jailer is a promising thriller. Dhyan Srinivasan acted as jailer in this. It is the story of a jailer who, despite tight security, sets out to recapture a group of prisoners who have escaped from a prison. malayalam audiences are curious about both the films.
