According to the producers, samantha Ruth Prabhu's Shaakuntalam was scheduled to open in theatres on april 14. However, there have been some allegations that the movie has been delayed from its original release date and won't be available then. They mentioned financial considerations as the justification for the delay. The movie's director, Gunasekar, is said to have dismissed all the claims and verified that the movie's post-production work is complete and that it would be released on april 14 as scheduled.
The highly anticipated Shaakuntalam, which will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, is based on the critically renowned sanskrit play "Abhijnana Shaakuntalam" by Kalidasa. dil raju is presenting the movie through Sri Venkateswara Creations along with Gunaa Team Works, while neelima Guna is producing it. The movie will also be released in 3D.
Shaakuntalam, directed by Gunasekhar, stars Samantha. In this movie, Dev Mohan plays the part of king Dushyant, and Allu Arjun's daughter allu arha plays the part of prince Bharata.
