Court Favours Actor Vijay in Car Case!

At the request of actor Vijay, in the luxury car case, Judge S.M. The high court has dismissed the negative comments made by Subramaniam.



Actor Vijay last imported a Rolls Royce Ghost luxury car from the UK in 2012. When loomed by the Regional Transportation office to record this car, the vehicle was acquainted to pay entry tax.



Following this, the chennai high court dismissed a case filed on behalf of Vijay seeking an injunction restraining him from levying entry tax on those who had paid import tax when the car was imported. 



At the time, Judge SM Subramaniam had ruled that actors should pay taxes in a timely manner and should not be reel heroes except that they should be real heroes.



The judge also fined actor Vijay Rs 1 lakh and ordered him to pay it to the Chief Minister's Corona Relief Fund within two weeks.



The order was appealed on behalf of actor Vijay. In it, Vijay's party had said that the exemption was sought as several cases were pending in the high court seeking exemption of entry tax on cars imported from abroad and that the exemption was sought as the car was taxed to move the car from one state to another in india without paying value-added tax.



Vijay also demanded that the criticisms leveled against him in the verdict be removed.



The case came up for hearing before Justices pushpa Satyanarayana and Mohammad Sabeek. At that time, Judge S.M. The judges announced that the negative comments made by Subramaniam would be dismissed.
